In line with growth, they are seeking a Product Architect to manage the development and architecture of their products. As part of the executive management team, you will initially manage a team of 3 with rapid growth to 10. What you'll be doing:     Create product architecture and gain an understanding of the technical and user requirements of the product. Design, build and execute product roadmaps. Manage the engineering team, growth, and function. Development and select third-party suppliers and relationships. Work with fellow executive management team on IP development and strategy.     Manufacturing Engineer

      New role for an experienced manufacturing engineer to help drive improvements Working on state of the art medical/scientific equipment Lead role with responsibility across engineering, supply chain and quality Experience/Skill you will need: Six sigma, Kanban, materials flow and pull systems Continuous improvement in an electro/mechanical assembly environment Confidence working with manufacturing, supply chain, quality and suppliers day to day Have experience with optical products/processes or an eagerness to learn and train in this area - full and bespoke training will be provided Problem solving and improvement focussed approach The Role: You will take responsibility for the manufacturability of current and new products, while ensuring quality and cost targets can be met. Working closely with R+D teams to solve technical problems throughout the process. The Manufacturing Engineering team consists of 12 engineers and work closely with Optical, Scientific and other Engineering team’s day to day. They are creating innovative, customer-focused solutions and services to enhance efficiency and deliver tangible economic impact through chemical, physical and structural analysis of materials.   What you’ll be doing As the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be delivering integrated mechanical, opto-mechanical, and fluid-mechanics design solutions as part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers. Using optical and/or thermal simulation tools to inform design requirements, and you will develop an understanding of the technology that underpins the clients products.   Working closely with the manufacturing and service teams to ensure design delivers operational efficiency. Selection of appropriate manufacturing techniques according to part requirements, and analysis of supplier capability data.   What experience you’ll need to apply HNC or degree level in an Engineering related discipline. Solidworks or Solidedge. Design of integrated opto-mechanical assemblies. International standards (such as BS8888), drawing issue control, generating Bills of Materials, and engineering control documentation. Lean tools and processes such as DfX & FMEA. You will work in a growing team and will have recruitment responsibility to ensure the delivery team can continue to provide an excellent service, as the company continues to grow.   What you will need: Mechanical and construction engineering knowledge PRINCE2, ISO 9001 or Six Sigma Management of projects in excess of £500k Understanding of manufacturing/production environments and projects Supply chain and recruitment experience Confident dealing with internal and external points of contact across all business areas including finance, supply chain, sales and board members   What you will do: Working as the head of the delivery function you will mange the entire project lifecycle for innovative vertical farming solutions. The product is a mixture of systems including mechanical, electrical, cooling and water, so an understating of these areas from any industry background would be very beneficial. Some of the product range are self-contained modular units, so a construction background would also be beneficial. The company has gone from strength to strength over the past 12 months and they aim to become a global electronics refurbishing company that supports a long-term sustainable supply chain for end-user electronics. The goal is to expand internationally in the next 18/24 months.    What you’ll be doing You’ll be central to shaping and scaling the distribution model to manage the business transition into a significantly larger, international player in the remanufacturing of end-user electronics.  You will need to be able to build strategies that will enable the company to source and distribute equipment at scale and across borders. A good understanding of corporate procurement, supply chain, able to speak with senior decision-makers and ultimately think creatively using your skills and knowledge to help build a new, innovative business model.    What experience you’ll need to apply IT supply chains (Public procurement frameworks, OEMs, National and international distributors, ITADs, etc) A complete understanding of the full value chain and refurbishment process. Building business propositions and negotiating. Market and competitor analysis. Ability to build strong cross-border business relationships.   What you’ll get in return for your experience  A competitive salary of £50-60,000 per annum (DOE), holiday allowance, pension contribution, home working flexibility, and there will be room for growth as the company goes through scale-up.  You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and responsibility while being part of a supportive expert team.   What's next?
