You will do everything, from running workshops, gathering requirements, creating user stories and epics as well as supporting large scale programmes to succession, dealing with a real variety of people and stakeholders on the projects.
As Product Manager or Product Owner you will guide the success of a product, whilst leading a cross-functional team to make improvements and implement changes. As a Project or Programme Manager, you will be very organised, process driven and adaptable in your approach to ensure a project is delivered successfully from inception to launch. Your role is to define a vision and strategy for the design and development teams to follow when building or updating a product, whilst anticipating and managing any potential issues that may arise. A good Product Manager will have the right blend of personal and technical traits and ways of working. For example it is important that you can communicate clearly to developers and designers, senior management and clients alike and show strong organisation skills as a lot of the work is detail oriented and systematic.
