Brand Manager: The scope of your responsibility can depend on your level of seniority. Businesses may employ one Brand Manager or a Brand team, including junior, mid and senior level 'Brand Management' roles. Either way, you are generally part of a Marketing team.
You (and your team) will create a lasting impression among your target audience, clients and consumers (depending whether it’s a B2B or B2C focus). You'll monitor market trends while keeping an eye on what the Marketing team plans and produces, to ensure that the right message is delivered for the product or service you are representing.
To be successful, you will 'own' how the product and brand is positioned, where it fits when looking at the entire market and specifically direct competitors. Together with your Branding team and the Marketing team you set specific objectives to increase the brand's value. You then develop strategies to strengthen the brand, reaching further - to ultimately increase value and profits.
