    Senior UX/UI Designer

My client is based in central London and ideally looking for someone who is happy to do a couple of days in the office and able to work well from home also.  What you’ll be doing You will be the “go to” for all things design and have full input when designing and coming up with new features for the product, My client are looking for fresh ideas to improve their platform, the customer experience and are wanting someone who can identify areas of improvement and who can provide an innovative and visual alternative to their current design. You will be working very closely with other members of the tech team which includes front and back end developers and Product Managers. What experience you’ll need Previous experience as a UX/UI Designer with a focus on designing new products.  Experience working in collaboration with a tech team – Product Managers/Developers. Ability to create original graphic designs – images, sketches.  Able to identify and troubleshoot UX problems.  Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly.  A keen knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision) A portfolio demonstrating samples of design deliverables (personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes) Experience working in a data heavy environment or data platform.  What you get in return In return you will be joining a fast growing and entrepreneurial team with very exciting growth plans for 2021.     Instrument Assembler

      Excellent benefits and ongoing development R+D environment in an open plan and collaborative environment   Our client is looking for an Instrument Assembler to join a growing team based in East Sussex. The company are flexible on industry background, but are looking for someone with electro-mechanical assembly experience, who is motivated to learn a new industry. Candidates with experience working on Vacuum based products would be at ana advantage, however this is not an essential.   What experience/skills you will need: Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings Shaping of metal products (small-bore piping, drilling, grinding) Creation of wiring looms, from circuit diagrams Repair and test of electro-mechanical products   What you will be doing: The role will involve working as part of a small team of bench engineers/technicians to assemble high quality vacuum instruments. You will also be involved in the test and repair of these products, while feedback possible improvements to your line manager. You will join a small team of engineers to provide mechanical support for a range of cryogenic-based products and technology.    What you’ll be doing As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be producing 3D models and 2D CAD designs to BS8888. The designs are for vacuum flanges, machined components and welded assemblies and you will be expected to create design calculations, BOM’s and assembly structures.   What experience you’ll need to apply Solidworks. Vacuum systems design & testing. BOM structuring and maintenance. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work to tight timescales. You will need to be adaptable, and client-focused as you will help develop long-term client relationships.   What you’ll be doing As the Cable Design Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects from supporting clients with power cable system design, manufacturing, installation, and testing of Onshore & Offshore AC & DC power cables. You will also be managing projects and provide clients with cable design reports and presentations.   What experience you’ll need to apply Writing cable specifications for energy projects and evaluate the cable design within a tender return. Inspection and testing for power cables including a good understanding of standards governing inspection and testing including IEC 62067, 63026, CIGRE, IEEE. International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards 60287, 60853 and finite element analysis methods. CYMCAP or other industry-standard software. Many of the legacy product algorithms were developed by engineers who no longer work at the company, so you will be responsible for understanding the code they have written and working with teams to make improvements across the product range.
