Well-developed stakeholder management skills and ability to work within a cross functional agile environment. This role sits within their Bristol headquarters and will be part of an international UX team.What you'll be doingThe brand has been around for more than two decades and has a global user base. Their flagship product (an IOS/Android app) connects millions of users in over 60 countries worldwide. As a User Researcher within the Bristol office you will work alongside a UX Lead and as part of the wider UX, UI and product design community within the business.Reporting into the UX Lead in Bristol you will deliver a variety of long and short term user research projects that will include lab and field based testing. With an international user base there is likely to be some travel involved from time to time.Though the business is well established the team in Bristol does have a fairly lean approach to product design and testing, the office has a start-up culture and is still defining processes. To be successful in this role the User Researcher will need to be resourceful, collaborative and flexible in their approach.What experience you'll need to apply Proven experience of conducting user research and user focussed testing. Excellent understanding of qualitative research methodologies and practices. Able to make sense of quantitative data, creating recommendations from a range of analytical sources. A strong collaborator able to work with people from technical and non-technical backgrounds. Previous experience of working within agile product design teams. Help define and own the user experience process for the agency.We're looking for a UX Designer to join a small but software design agency in Bristol. This will be their first UX Designer and represents an exciting step forward for the agency.What you'll be doingThis agency produces a wide variety of digital products and services to their clients (largely within the start-up / scale-up). Past projects have included community tools for the creative industries, an online platform to disrupt the property industry, smart location based marketing tools and a number of products with social, environmental and sustainability causes at heart.The agency sits at around 20 people and is home to a large development team as well as a number of product managers. Working with so many start-ups means they have a very consultative approach to product design and work closely with their clients from discovery to delivery.Up until now all of their UI and UX has been done by the development team, this role is a new specialist position within the business. The UX Designer will engage with their clients right from the beginning of a project and remain involved throughout. We're looking for someone who can workshop with clients, bring ideas to life through rapid wireframing and prototyping and who can test their designs in an iterative fashion as a product develops. This will be a collaborative role and work very closely with the development team.What experience you'll need to apply Experience in a UX design role; preferably within an agency or software development studio. Consultative in your approach; comfortable workshopping with clients and able to visualise product ideas through sketches, wireframes and prototypes (paper / clickable). With almost 30 years in the business its a well-known and highly respected brand to call home.What youll be doingThe UX Architect will join the businesses digital team (of around 12) and help deliver new and improved digital experiences to a variety of partners, clients and employees. The UX team was started around 3 ½ years ago so is still relatively new to the business. With a new Head of UX in place and a plan to ramp up user research and testing this year its a great time to join.The UX Architect will be expected to take the lead on a mix of customer facing and business facing projects, these will also include the upgrading of legacy systems. Day to day the UX Architect will help conduct user research, run workshops with key stakeholders in the business and collaborate closely with visual designers to help bring new and improved interactions to life. Projects will mostly be web based but some app work will be involved.As well as the practical hands on needs of the role were looking for character types that will help to evangelise UX across the business. There's great foundations for good UX practice, this role and the future of this role is about pushing things forward.What experience youll need to apply Previous experience in a UX Architect role (or similar). Knowledge of the latest UX tools and processes with a good grasp on research. Strong stakeholder management experience, able to operate at a senior level. A real passion for UX and the industry on the whole. Any experience in financial services a real plus.
