    Manufacturing Engineer

    — Senior role within a highly skilled engineering team

      New role for an experienced manufacturing engineer to help drive improvements Working on state of the art medical/scientific equipment Lead role with responsibility across engineering, supply chain and quality Experience/Skill you will need: Six sigma, Kanban, materials flow and pull systems Continuous improvement in an electro/mechanical assembly environment Confidence working with manufacturing, supply chain, quality and suppliers day to day Have experience with optical products/processes or an eagerness to learn and train in this area - full and bespoke training will be provided Problem solving and improvement focussed approach The Role: You will take responsibility for the manufacturability of current and new products, while ensuring quality and cost targets can be met. Working closely with R+D teams to solve technical problems throughout the process. The Manufacturing Engineering team consists of 12 engineers and work closely with Optical, Scientific and other Engineering team’s day to day. There will be flexibility to work 2/3 days a week at home, for spec reviews and improvement plan prep etc, but there will always be some site based requirement.   What you will get in return for your talents: You’ll be entitled to 23 days holiday (increasing to 25 with service), flexi-time (core hours 10-12 and 2-3 Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour working week) with the opportunity for remote working with a trip to the office 1-2 times a week.     Supply chain & Distribution Manager

    — Supporting sustainable manufacturing.

    £50,000 - £60,000

This is an amazing opportunity to join a passionate & ambitious electronic remanufacturing business, where sustainability is at the heart of everything they do. The company has gone from strength to strength over the past 12 months and they aim to become a global electronics refurbishing company that supports a long-term sustainable supply chain for end-user electronics. The goal is to expand internationally in the next 18/24 months.    What you’ll be doing You’ll be central to shaping and scaling the distribution model to manage the business transition into a significantly larger, international player in the remanufacturing of end-user electronics.  You will need to be able to build strategies that will enable the company to source and distribute equipment at scale and across borders. A good understanding of corporate procurement, supply chain, able to speak with senior decision-makers and ultimately think creatively using your skills and knowledge to help build a new, innovative business model.    What experience you’ll need to apply IT supply chains (Public procurement frameworks, OEMs, National and international distributors, ITADs, etc) A complete understanding of the full value chain and refurbishment process. Building business propositions and negotiating. Market and competitor analysis. Ability to build strong cross-border business relationships.   What you’ll get in return for your experience  A competitive salary of £50-60,000 per annum (DOE), holiday allowance, pension contribution, home working flexibility, and there will be room for growth as the company goes through scale-up.  You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and responsibility while being part of a supportive expert team.   What's next?
