Senior Conference Producer

Here is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast growing business in central Bristol as their new Senior Conference Producer.  Producing a number of conferences on an interesting and creative topic area you will manage the end to end delivery of these within a commercial B2B environment. 

What you'll be doing

You will research and produce high quality and innovative agendas for a small portfolio of marketing conferences.  Initially you will research industry topics and keep abreast of the latest industry trends to identify key content ideas that will entice delegates to the shows.  You will assume full project ownership of each event from a content perspective and will begin sourcing, selecting and securing industry leading speakers to attend and participate in the shows.  You will use a range of methods to attract this talent, through phone calls, networking, face to face meets and utilising existing contacts. 

As a creative content creator, you will will bring the agenda to life through enticing copy across a number of channels, promoting the events through digital channels such as the website, targeted email campaigns and social media management, as well as running peripheral events such as roundtables and breakfast briefings.  You will also work closely with the sales team on commercial content such as whitepapers, webinars and reports to help hit content revenue targets.

Managing the two Journalists you will plan, research and ensure execution of great content to begin converting readers in to delegates.  You will then ultimately be responsible for the onsite delivery of content during the events through meticulous on-site execution of the conferences to exceptional customer standards.

Following the events, you will analyse and report on the conference success, and make recommendations on ways to improve future events. 

What experience you'll need to apply

  • Previous experience in conference production, ideally in a B2B environment

  • Driven to deliver results accurately on time
  • A natural communicator, both written and verbally

    Multi award-winning FinTech for good. Front-End/React. Learn Node, GraphQL and more. Fully remote (now and forever) or work from Bristol office. A multi award-winning fin-tech business that are using their product to help people look after their money better in Bristol is looking to hire a number of developers. The product was first launched in the early 2010’s and is now grown onto V2 and continues to expand, you will play a key part in maintaining the platform and adding new features. What experience you’ll need Solid front-end stack skills, writing accessible and semantic markup, logical and extensible CSS and clear and performant JavaScript with React. Knowledge or experience of Redux, GraphQL and Node.js would be beneficial. Enjoy researching and learning new programming tools and techniques and telling others about them. Communicate with accuracy and effectiveness and take a systematic approach to solving problems. Have experience of using testing to validate solutions. Understand agile environments and version control. Are aware of technologies used for web applications, e.g. databases, backups, CDNs and search, Linux and/or Mac OS. Familiar with working practices such as TDD, continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps (and want to learn more). Understanding of web security and performance. A passion for technology and emerging trends. Team player, even when remote. What you’ll be doing In this role you can expect to grow and gain a huge amount of experience in JavaScript, React, CSS, Node.js, Microservices and more. You’ll thrive using agile methods and enjoy working openly, collaboratively and as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on one or more projects, doing things the right way and producing high quality code (via peer code reviews etc). Other duties will include providing security, performance and scalability as well as assisting with building automated tests as part of their continuous integration and deployment environment.  Within the team you will design and build services using web technologies, improve processes through automation and optimisation, share knowledge of tools and techniques applying your broad knowledge of technologies ensuring security. Your key contributions to the platform will support consumers with their financial issues and money worries, bringing new ideas and ways of innovating the process.
