What you’ll be doing
There is a clear remit within this role. There are approximately 800 potential destinations across the Country who could benefit from this platform and who would then create a new userbase for the app. You will work cross functionally, overseeing the budget and having team oversight across product, marketing, engineering and analysts; an agile team of 18 people.
You will be targeting businesses that currently follow a predominantly offline model and encouraging them to embrace a new fully digital solution. As well as offering a strong online and mobile presence, this section of the app will also offer digital membership/ticketing solutions, provide the businesses with insights in to their visitors and behaviour, as well as visitor prediction and live reporting.
With some previous experience of taking a market from an offline to an online journey, you will need to build a scalable solution that also incubates and delights the early customers. Marrying the long-term win with short-term customer demands to balance the team’s priorities and customer’s expectations is a key feature of the position.
This role has no place for prima donnas who just want to sit behind a desk and direct others. You will be hands on, demonstrating leadership, creativity, willing to visit potential destinations to understand their offering, challenges, and showcasing ways that the app can be of commercial benefit to them.
