One of the UK’s leading luxury brands is looking for a Merchandising and Content Manager to help grow their eCommerce offering. A broad role across multiple areas, you will have a massive influence over future product ranges and the look / feel of the website stocking a number of famous brands.
What you’ll be doing
The Merchandising and Content Manager will continue to add an exciting pipeline of products to an already huge catalogue. You will develop a thorough understanding of the current offering and use your understanding of the customer base to plan future additions. Working closely with suppliers your people skills will allow you to build strong relationships and negotiate good terms, driving future growth while expanding the product range.
It’s then about being able to showcase these beautiful product ranges on the eCommerce site in the best way possible, in turn optimising the customer experience and maximising sales online. Using data drawn from customer activity on the website, you’ll analyse these figures to glean insights on how to display products on the website. Which images should be used, are descriptions accurate and informative, do products complement each other to drive opportunities for cross-selling? These are all questions you’ll be asking to ensure customers can find what they are looking for.
Additional activities will be to monitor competitor activity, match the voice of the brand to other divisions (in particular Marketing and Customer Service) and keep an eye on alternative tools that will help boost eCommerce performance. We understand this is a broad role and candidates may not possess all the skills required, so above all the successful candidate will enjoy rolling up their sleeves and upskilling across a number of different areas.
What experience you’ll need
- Experience working closely and negotiating with suppliers to develop a product range.
- A creative and analytical eye to match future ranges to customer demands.
- Been involved in the merchandising and / or content management for an eCommerce brand.
- Management skills a huge plus.
- Have worked with a large product catalogue.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to spin multiple plates.
