— Varied integrated role

We’re looking for a commercially savvy Lead Designer to join an established business based in central Bristol. You’ll be joining a small design team with the opportunity to build a team around you and bolster the creative offering for the business and clients alike.
What you’ll be doing
Coming on board as a Lead Designer you’ll be responsible for delivering engaging designs across a variety of touchpoints. The lean will be on print, however, this is very much an integrated role with briefs across print, events, digital assets, pitches, infographics and video to name a few, so safe to say you’ll need to be a versatile designer!
You’ll be working on concepts through to completion of fully polished creative projects, so no doubt you’ll be conceptual in your approach to design but always on brand and from a commercial point of view. From time to time you’ll be involved directly with client pitches so you’ll need to be professional, articulate and able to hold your own in front of senior stakeholders.
There’s currently one other designer in the team, who you’ll coach, mentor and be the go to person for design related questions, so some leadership experience is needed for this role. As a business, they’re keen to develop their creative offering so there’s a genuine opportunity to build a specialist team around you and be part of a business that excels in their field of expertise.
What experience you’ll need to apply
- Have a couple of years’ experience in a similar environment.
- A portfolio of commercially delivered design work.
- Leadership experience.
- Fluent with Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign).
- Experience with video, animation or motion graphics would be a huge bonus.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Be confident in your approach to everything you do.
What you’ll get in return for your experience
There’s a salary circa £30k-£35k (DOE) on offer as well as company pension and incentive schemes which include bonuses and additional holiday.
