An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an aspiring test engineer to join a hugely successful tech company in central Bath. The company have gone from strength to strength in recent years and due to a number of exciting new client wins they are looking to grow their Engineering team.
What skill's you'll be needing
- A degree in computer science or numerate discipline.
- Knowledge of at least one object orientated programming language such as Python, Java, Ruby, C, C++.
- A passion for automated and manual testing.
- Ability to pick up and learn new languages.
- A genuine interest in software and technology.
- If you have some experience within CI, Testing, Python, networking and Linux this will be a bonus.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be working alongside the developers testing, executing and maintaining automated and manual tests within the newly formed DevOps team focusing on the efficient practices to enable each of their monthly releases. On a daily basis you will be working with the senior test engineer designing and assisting them in the creation of their very first test script. As this is a new team here, you will play a pivotal role in the team's technology usage and also their sprint stand ups. They will give you exposure to the main DevOps function here, working with exciting technology such as Terraforms and Ansible!
