A fast-growing online media agency in Bath is looking for a Full Stack PHP Developer to join their team. The role is fully remote for now, but the business are very culture-driven, offering a warm & welcoming atmosphere plus boasting a prestigious list of clients within the games industry. You will be joining the team responsible for in-house websites with a variety of both existing & greenfield sites to be involved in. Joining them on a fully remote basis initiatlly they're looking to maintain flexibility with remote working once restrictions lift.
What skills you’ll need
- Previous experience with the LEMP stack (PHP, Linux, Nginx, MySQL).
- Front-End capability using HTML, CSS, Sass, JavaScript.
- Server administration expertise.
- Knowledge of WordPress would be a bonus.
- Experience working with third-party API’s & deployment tools.
- Asana, Trello, JIRA etc.
- Knowledge of things like Cloudflare, Digital Ocean or Linux servers is beneficial.
What you’ll be doing
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team of 4 within a fun, progressive digital business in the gaming sector. Your day-to-day will include maintaining all existing websites and supporting the creation of new sites built in PHP/WordPress. You will develop new plugins and themes for WordPress, plus maintaining all documentation for system and processes. As well as development, you will also be responsible for server administration, as well as mentoring junior developers and meeting with stakeholders so good communication skills are key. You will show passion for tech (and ideally gaming) and will aim to keep up to date with modern web technologies.
