One of the UK's most leading specialist software houses is currently looking to expand their outstanding and multi-skilled development team with a Front-End Developer. Based in central Bath, they’ve been working with multi-national clients across a wide variety of sectors for over 10 years and have amassed an impressive portfolio. You’ll be part of a business that provides insight into broad political, socio-economic and environmental issues, ultimately helping to find solutions to some of the greatest problems the world is currently facing today. Day-to-day though, it’s a friendly and relaxed office that promotes collaboration and professional development.
What experience you’ll need
- Knowledge of ES6, Typescript, CSS, LESS, SASS, Git, Linux or TDD would all be beneficial.
- You’ll have experience building large front-end heavy applications, as well as upgrading and migrating.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- You will need strong communication and planning skills, on top of problem analysis ability and a collaborative mentality.
What you’ll be doing
You will primarily be developing new features and helping to upgrade internal infrastructure front-end. You’ll be working closely with both the back-end (Python) development team and the UX design teams, implementing new functionality into their software applications and helping to suggest future improvements across a variety of projects. There’s a real interest in growing and upgrading the current tech stack and so you’ll be key to helping move existing apps to newer technologies. You will be working with both internal and external clients on projects that can include building web based interactive tools, data visualisation, improving content delivery portals and more. Your role will of course involve staying up to date with new industry developments and help to suggest new technologies to integrate with the current tech stack.
