C++ Software Engineer

At the forefront of cutting-edge innovation, our client are seeking a C++ Software Engineer to engage with their autonomous technologies. Operating as a research company in Bedford, they deliver solutions across the maritime and aerospace industry - leading the design and development of unmanned systems. Expecting to double in team size within 2019, you will work alongside a team of architects, developers, GUI specialists, and safety critical leads. You will also work with a team of talented electronics and mechanical engineers - allowing exposure to leading tech all the while expanding and developing on your skill-set. 

What experience you will need:

  • C++
  • Java 8 
  • OO Design. 
  • Multi-threading. 
  • UML.
  • Ethernet (UDP, TCP). 
  • Linux/Unix. 
  • Integration with electronics. 
  • UML. 
  • Avionics.
  • Scrum and agile. 
  • JIRA. 

What you’ll be doing: 

You will design, implement and test simulation software for both experimental activities and product development. You will gain knowledge of unmanned systems and simulation.  Further, you will deliver, report, and present technical work - including submission of documentation.  As well as your individual work, you will work as part of a team to bolster and innovate systems.
