Hugely successful legal business with international offices across Europe, America and Asia is looking for an Application support Analyst to join their central Bristol team. They boast a hugely diverse client base and are considered market leaders across a number of industries. What you’ll be doing
Joining a fairly new but growing applications support team you’ll be supporting and maintaining a variety of leading-edge applications within the business. No day is the same in this role; as well as working on a number of ad-hoc projects, you’ll take ownership of at least 2 key bespoke applications, assisting with pre-release testing, implementation, deployment & documentation as well as identifying & resolving any technical issues. You will take part in vendor management meetings to provide your technical expertise, proposing software solutions in line with new business initiatives and will therefore be expected to stay commercially aware by attending conferences and providing feedback on new products. Further, you’ll liaise with other members of the wider application support and quality assurance teams to create and update maintenance plans and upgrade schedules for applications.
What skills you’ll need
- Proven background in deploying & supporting enterprise level applications.
- Strong experience of MySQL.
- Familiarity with Visual Basic and Powershell would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of application deployment tools such as SCCM is beneficial.
- Experience of Case Management and Document Management systems such as Solcase, Visualfiles or Filesite would be a bonus.
