DevOps Engineer

One of Bristol's best digital product developers are looking for someone to take a brand-new role for the business helping the team deliver quality driven e-commerce web and platform projects for some globally renowned clients. If you have a good grounding in DevOps and want to be doing more with AWS in a progressive, ideas focused environment then this is definitely one for you.

What skills you’ll need

  • AWS (Amazon Web Services).
  • Linux.
  • Ansible.
  • Vagrant.
  • They will provide help in getting up to speed with Terraform, CloudFormation, Node.js/Lambdas, Python, Bash scripting.
  • An appreciation of the Dev side of DevOps (they work with PHP, Magento).

What you'll be doing

They’re looking for someone to come in and take ownership of the DevOps function, you’ll be able to bring your own ideas and implement them quickly. As a business they are responsible for web stores and infrastructure that delivers over £60m as it’s deployed into markets worldwide. Their DevOps environment is pretty mature and they’ve automated large parts already and have plans to semi-automate their testing. There’s plenty to do in terms of improving and joining things up and they have a goal of introducing a full end-to-end CI/CD pipeline. Their main client is an internationally renowned tech giant and you’ll be working with them from the outset as they look to expand their enterprise level work. This is a fantastic opportunity to play the key role in helping the business to be totally self-sufficient in AWS for someone who has worked on large websites or digital products with multiple integrations and dependencies in their career so far.
