— Varied User Interfaces

Salary: Upto £28k
Location: Bristol
Type: Permanent
Ref: 5141

Description

We’re looking for a Midweight Digital Designer to join a small but perfectly formed agency in Bristol. They have an enviable client list (including big names in the technology sector) and deliver everything from web design, infographics, motion graphics, touch screens and interactive presentations. Their mission is to take complex information and communicate these in a truly creative and original way.

What you’ll be doing

Joining a small creative team of 2 (Creative Director + Designer) you’ll come on board to design predominantly within digital. You’ll work on a variety of projects including web designs, infographics and interactive presentations. A big focus will also be on bespoke interactive touch screen interfaces as this is increasingly becoming a core offering of the agency. With the support of the Creative Director you’ll help to concept and craft the unique stories that sit behind these digital experiences.

What experience you’ll need

Here we’re looking for someone confident in the digital domain. Ideally you’ll be a digital designer with a few years’ experience behind you in an agency environment. As suggested above we need someone with a conceptual mind, your portfolio will need to show clearly your thinking and rationale behind work. In person you’ll be a strong communicator, concise and informed. As it’s a small studio we’re looking for someone who’s genuinely inspiring to be around, you’ll be an important part of the agency and always be looking to the future, exploring new technologies and techniques as you go. In the portfolio we’d love to see some UI, app and web work for the most part. Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator InDesign) will be important as with most design roles and some experience of working on UX deliverables (wireframing, prototypes etc) will be beneficial, full blown research experience is less of a need here.

What you’ll get in return for your talents

In return for your talents you’ll join a small but impressive agency where culture is paramount. You’ll get to work on some genuinely interested and unique projects in the digital space and be given a lot of creative freedom in your projects. Aside from the day to day you’ll be given the opportunity to develop your skills with full support and investment in skills training on the cards.
