Front-End Web Developer

An EdTech company whose unique products are used worldwide are looking for a talented React Developer to join their small but hugely successful Bristol based team. It’s ethical, innovative and found in roughly 136 countries. Are you using React? Interested in or already using Node? This could be your next move.

What experience you'll need  

  • Experience using React (or a willingness to learn React).
  • Willingness to learn Node.js.
  • Previous web app development experience.
  • Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript etc.
  • Experience using a serverless backend.
  • Git version control experience. 
  • A keen eye for design.
  • A clear communicator.

What you'll be doing 

You’ll begin by working with their test tools and automation to really get to know their codebase as their app is incredibly fun and interactive. Once you’re up to speed with the detail, you’ll then be improving and adding functionality to their web-based application, helping to roll it out onto new platforms and making key decisions in the user journeys, interfaces and technologies used. There’s also an opportunity to pick up Google Cloud within the role amongst other tech. As part of the role you will be regularly communicating with end clients, watching the app being used and gathering feedback as well as testing. Your opinion will be valued and respected from day one, they’re looking for someone with a passion for development and an innovative approach. Also, they’re keen to find a really nice person who is excited to design creativity apps that empower children, your work will be making a real difference.
