An internationally renowned digital technology giant has joined the Bristol tech community! They are looking for a number of Java Developers/Engineers to join an outstanding team. With exciting growth plans over the next 2 years, this opportunity offers unparalleled scope for progression. Coupled with a unique opportunity to “straight off the bat” gain commercial exposure to integration platforms such as Mulesoft and Dell Boomi – with the ultimate goal of gaining certification.  

What skills you’ll need

  • You’ll have solid experience working with Java 7/8 & associated tools and frameworks – Spring (with Hibernate, Maven or Gradle).
  • A working understanding of JavaScript & Front-End development would be ideal.
  • You will have working knowledge of Automation testing tools (Junit, Spock, Gatling or Selenium).
  • Ability to create RESTful API’s.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS - but would consider experience with Azure, GCP, Digital Ocean, etc.
  • Existing exposure working with integration platforms such as Mulesoft, Dell Boomi or Apigee, would present a massive advantage.  
  • Background of success in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Due to the significant cross training opportunity, if you lack some of the above, but have significant commercial exposure to Java and Spring. While possessing a strong desire to get involved into the integration field, please make contact.


What you’ll be doing

Joining a varied Agile team of developers and integration focused engineers, you will be building a variety of Java based digital solutions across the business, while learning to contribute to the delivery of integration services. You will play a critical role in the design, development and integration of large-scale technical platforms, ranging from ecommerce platforms to cloud based CRM applications. Working with such a diverse range of clients, you will need to be adaptable to various frameworks and ways of working. Gathering requirements and developing maintainable solutions compatible with existing technology environments. You will adopt a DevOps approach to development, using a range of deployment and automation tools. No day is the same in this role, offering huge variety and exposure to a broad range of progressive technologies, working within an innovative and collaborative team.
