What skills you'll be needing

  • Excellent PHP, particularly (Laravel, Symfony, PHPUnit).
  • SOLID principles & OOP.
  • Excellent HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Good communicator who can lead a small team, communicate well with internal directors.
  • WordPress, WooCommerce development.
  • Experience with Linux command line.
  • Good understanding of server management & hosting environments.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (any of React/ Vue/ Express).
  • Demonstrated experience with APIs (e.g. RESTful, Soap).
  • Experience with Node & NPM ecosystem.
  • Experience with task runners (Grunt, Gulp, Parcel).
  • Experience with Git & repository tools.

What you'll be doing

This highly creative digital agency has some seriously impressive globally renowned brands amongst their client base and work across a wide tech stack covering PHP, .Net, JavaScript.  They’re looking for a PHP focused Senior/Lead Developer to come in and work in this 80% hands on, 20% leadership role helping the team to continue to thrive.  They feel that they have a really strong reputation for their greenfield, bespoke application and modern, dynamic website development work coupled with great UX and SEO; you’ll be working with some super-talented people from the off.  The Lead Developer will be comfortable with the whole development lifecycle including planning, building and supporting whilst guiding business process, go live and testing.  R&D is important to the business so you’ll help to facilitate their Friday afternoon learning and experimenting sessions and improving development processes.
