We’re helping a creative tech business with a network spanning worldwide find a Lead QA Engineer to join them in Bristol or London (popping into the office every week or two minimum). They offer a cloud-based digital commerce & recording platform with technology spanning across web publishing, video streaming/processing, digital audio, revolutionising the industry. One of Europe’s fastest growing businesses with no plans to slow down!

What experience you'll need

  • Relevant experience within Lead QA roles.
  • Proven commercial experience with Cucumber and Gherkin.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Jira and the Atlassian Suite.
  • Solid experience with cross browser tools and techniques.
  • Competent with modern E2E test frameworks such as Cypress, TestCafe and/or WebdriverIO.
  • Experienced in API testing using industry standard tools such as Postman.
  • Strong technical knowledge in the web and mobile web platforms.
  • Security risks and vulnerabilities knowledge (OWASP top ten etc).
  • Good understanding of HTTP.
  • Good understanding of REST.
  • You understand the difference between client and server-side rendering.


What you'll be doing
You’ll get the chance to work with stakeholders in the design and implementation of test strategy for existing and new features as well as provide technical and theoretical advice and guidance to their Scrum teams around test strategies for both manual and automated tests. You’ll also configure and set-up of tools within the QA domain whilst maintaining documentation related to QA. Act as an escalation point for QA issues for multiple programmes of work as well as lead and mentor other QA Engineers. You’ll get to work closely with the Engineering Director and other Lead Developers/Engineers to continuously improve testing and QA practices as well as ensure the right tooling and frameworks are in place to enable their Scrum teams to deliver against business goals.
