Head of Engineering

A fantastic opportunity to join a growing consultancy that is committed to supporting the world transition to net zero. The team delivers advisory across a wide range of projects from Onshore renewable & storage, offshore wind & marine renewables, and Oil & Gas transition. 

 

What you’ll be doing

You will be joining the technology team that operates across a wide range of projects from wind turbine applications, onsite generation, grid, and private wire projects. Strong communication skills will be required as you will need to liaise with other teams in the technology services such as Power Systems, Developments Projects, and regulations. 

Attention to detail is key as you will be writing and reviewing work that will be released to clients and ensure that all work meets the requirements, with this in mind you will have an understanding of client requirements and prepare detailed proposals.

Training, motoring, and developing your staff members as there are all levels of experience from associate through to principal professionals. 

Supporting other Heads of department in Technology Services by contributing to the business plans and budget setting, identifying focus sectors, and new service areas, to support growth opportunities.

 

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline. 
  • Managing a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
  • Onshore and offshore renewable energy projects.
  • Mentoring staff to support development and progression.
  • IEC, CIGRE, and the Grid Code. 
  • Delivering complex projects.

Salary up to £75,000, 25 days holiday + public holidays, pension 5% matched, private medical, life assurance 3x your salary, and home working.
