One of the UKs most talked about tech start-ups are recruiting for their first Product Owner to join their Bristol offices. You will join and share their mission in bringing equality into the workplace of millions worldwide.

What you’ll be doing

Working across their bespoke platform you will come in take a step back and be responsible for designing, developing and owning the product roadmap and prioritising development efforts to enable the businesses to drive proactive and very targeted growth for their customers. You’ll be translating features and developments in the product roadmap into details technical specifications and will own the delivery of this through guiding the activity of the development functions. This is an end to end Product Manager role – so you will be doing everything you’d expect from Agile rituals, through to creating user stories and test cases, through to managing and reporting on the backlog and progress against the roadmap with the help of the CTO who you’ll be reporting into.

What skills you need

  • You will currently be working as a Product Owner, ideally for a start-up or in a similar environment.

  • Analytical mind and passionate about customers and building the best possible user experience, monitoring your metrics and see whether you’re delivering. 

  • Strong communication skills as this role is client-facing and involves a lot of stakeholder management.

  • Strong interest/ exposure to strategic product development.

  • JIRA and SQL are desirable.

  • Experience gained in a start-up or a similar environment. 

  • Interest in AI and Machine Learning. 

  • You will be interested in networking events, keeping up to date with the latest/emerging technologies and what is popular in the market.

  • It goes without saying you need to have a genuine interest in this company’s subject matter and follow their vision; bringing equality into the workplace.
