This is a superb opportunity for an experienced Product Owner to join an exciting business based in central Bristol.

What you’ll be doing

Your role as Product Owner will be pivotal to the Engineering team’s ability to take customer requirements and express them in terms of technical steps for implementation and delivery. Your responsibilities will range from working with customers, product management and field engineers, analysing requirements, through to design, and implementation discussions. The Product Owner will organise the development backlog around roadmap priorities and liaise with stakeholders during the development process. You’ll provide objectives for the software development teams working on the backlog, and as people are this start ups most valuable resource, an ability to build relationships and showcase technical leadership is essential.

What experience you’ll need

  • Previous experience as a Product Owner/Manager or Technical Project Manager.
  • Background in Telecoms or Software Development ideal, not essential.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and ability to operate in a start-up culture.
  • Understanding of Atlassian tool suite, Open Source software tools.
  • Technical Experience
    • Software Development (Java)
    • Networking Experience (L2/L3, VLAN, IP Routing)
  • Domain Experience
    • Software Defined Networking (SDN)
    • Enterprise Architecture
    • Network Architecture
    • Carrier and Service Provider Architecture
    • Orchestration Platforms or Network Automation
    • Model-driven Service Architectures
  • A BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering fields or similar is desirable
  • Ambitious and dynamic, keen to learn, develop and progress.
