One of Bristol’s most popular start-ups have with strong backing and multiple awards are now looking to expand their software team. Working under the CTO they are looking for a Back-End Developer with solid Python experience to help them further develop their product which is a world-leading GreenTech solution which aims to reduce waste and a significant carbon footprint. This is an exciting opportunity to work across IoT, data science, cloud architecture and much more.
What skills you’ll be needing
- Commercial experience of coding with Python.
- Broad understanding of development across front-end, back-end and DevOps.
- You’ll be up to date with software practices.
- Experience working with distributed software systems.
- Passionate about the environment.
- You’ll be eager to introduce and suggest new ideas and technologies.
What you’ll be doing
Main duties will cover the expansion and development of an evolving REST API and database, the creation of a robust Python library and a control interface. You will work as part of a small software team, balancing a complex set of requirements and demands working in an agile environment. They will look to delegate to you pretty quickly and be keen to hear your thoughts, ideas and recommendations on adopting new technology and process improvements. They encourage hot-desking within the office so you get to work with a wide range of technical IT, engineering and non-technical specialists all with the common goal of producing an incredible product that will have a real ecological impact.
