UX Designer

— Innovative Agency Team

Upto £40k
  • Create products and services in truly diverse industries.
  • Work as part of a small but highly effective team without layers of hierarchy.
  • Enjoy using your skills for client work as well as internal innovation projects.

We’re looking for a UX Designer to join an agency team with a diverse portfolio. This role can be done remotely long term with occasional travel to meet the team in Bristol.

What you’ll be doing

The agency has a diverse client list, and every project brings with it a unique set of opportunities and challenges. Digital and technology experts; they focus on briefs that stretch beyond just a website and seek out complex and rewarding projects that keep the team learning and exploring new technologies.

In this role you’ll be working closely with the founder as well as seniors in design and development. The clients and sectors they operate in are incredibly varied; they’ve worked on everything from learning technology, AI powered software for a start-up, interactive tools for not-for profits, eCommerce solutions and much more.

As a UX designer you’ll be creating and testing ideas rapidly and iterating often. First and foremost, you’ll need to be a good designer; creating wireframes and prototypes of new product ideas to validate with the client and user. You’ll be working in sprints and in workshops with clients often, both taking requirements and sharing feedback on findings.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • Previous experience in a UX role, preferably within an agency or consultancy.
  • Confident with modern design tools and prototyping software (of your choice).
  • A good people person and confident communicating design decisions and rationale to clients.
  • Great wireframing and prototyping skills.
  • Preferably experienced in creating products and services, not just websites.
  • A passion for design with genuine drive to learn all about the latest practices and related technologies.
  • Preferably able to travel to Bristol on occasion to meet with the team.

What you’ll get in return

On offer is a great salary, a flat hierarchy with an incredibly supportive culture, company hackathons and learning days, a flexible and adult approach to remote working, Christmas shut down and team trips away. As well as working on client briefs you’ll be with a team that takes every opportunity to innovate; whether that’s creating new products (that become commercial successes later in life) or by training with team mates on using new tools or practices.
