We’re excited to be assisting one of Europe’s most innovative tech businesses in their search for an experienced Back-End/Python Engineer.  You’ll be part of a top-class team working on a suite of applications that already protects the lives of over 3 million people daily. 

This is a fully remote UK role with onboarding (all expenses paid) at their Monaco HQ.  

What experience you’ll need

  • Python 3
  • Asynchronous programming (asyncio)
  • Sockets/Networking
  • GIT 
  • Comfortable in Linux environments
  • A desire to work on software and applications that have real-world impact.

Any experience of the below would be awesome:

  • Rust
  • C/C++
  • Serial Interfaces
  • Video Processing (GStreamer / Janus / WebRTC)
  • Frontend (HTML5/JS)
  • Mobile development (iOS, Android, cross platform)
  • System Security, Cryptography
  • Electronics and embedded systems
  • Machine Learning
  • DevOps tools such as Ansible, Packer

What you’ll be doing

As Back-End Engineer you will be working in an extremely rewarding role bringing the latest web technologies to real-world cloud and hardware interfacing with very diverse equipment including radar, sonar, thermal imaging, software-defined radios and more. The position is predominantly for back-end development, but their work involves back-end server processing as well as the tools for testing, configuring and deploying our solutions. They operate in mission critical environments with systems that can operate at sea and high security areas with limited connectivity to the data centre and creativity is often required to solve unexpected technical issues. The role can be extremely diverse, interesting and rewarding if you are up to the challenge.
