Senior Creative Developer

Are you a digitally focussed Creative Developer? Are you bridging that unique gap between designer and developer?  This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Creative Developer to join an ambitious and growing agency in Bristol.  If this is your niche area, then this could be the role for you.

What you’ll need

  • An ability to translate client ideas, content and brand into visually powerful and immersive experiences
  • A desire to learn and explore new creative tools specifically for creating touchscreen experiences e.g., Ventuz
  • Experience and sound working knowledge of JavaScript incl. ES6, HTML, CSS and SCSS, CSS animations and transitions, Vue JS
  • Strong time management skills and commercial awareness
  • Strong use of Adobe CC packages and prototyping tools such as InVision, Figma & XD
  • Be able to inspire the studio and mentor junior designers and developers
  • Simultaneously project management
  • You’ll need some proficiency with the more data-driven, logical parts of applications

Good to have

  • Knowledge of Greensock, including Timeline and SVG Morph
  • PHP, MySQL and/or GraphQL (you could help with back-end and CMS)
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Version control (Git)
  • UNIX environments, bash (you could help with DevOps)

What you’ll be doing

You’ll not only work hands on with development, concepts and designs but also to help nurture and grow a team of talented creatives. This will suit an established creative who’s got the desire to do more; you can make the role your own and be a key part of shaping an established agency very much on the up. You’ll be involved in the creation of web design, interactive presentations, infographics, motion graphics and touchscreens. Also, PWAs (progressive web applications) in Vue.js, SPAs (single page applications) in Vue.js and responsive static microsites and web tools in HTML, CSS and JS.  The focus is on conveying complex information simply and clearly in engaging and innovative ways, it can involve the latest in interactive technology and requires a truly creative individual to not only get under the skin of a client and their business but to get their message across in a commercially viable and impactful way.
