Junior Copywriter

We’re looking for a Junior Copywriter to join a holiday lettings company on the outskirts of Bristol. This role is perfect for creative writers with a passion for travel and unique holiday experiences. 

What you’ll be doing

As a Junior Copywriter you’ll join a small but tight knit team. Reporting directly into the marketing manager you’ll work closely with other copy and content specialists as well as a wider development and sales team. Though some commercial experience is needed the client is happy to consider those at a junior level. You’ll bring with you creative writing ability but be able to finesse some of the more technical copywriting skills in-house and have a team of creatives to bounce ideas off of and learn from in equal measure.

You’ll create copy for the main customer facing website as well as external and partner channels. This will include writing descriptions for the resorts, creating conceptual copy for marketing campaigns, digital advertisements, mailouts and press ads too (both digital and offline). You’ll also be a regular contributor to the company blog and help to drive relevant traffic to the site. You’ll have creative freedom to produce content customers will love and always ensure your work is SEO optimised to make the most of every piece. 

What experience you’ll need 

  • Excellent writing skills both creative and technical. 
  • An understanding of SEO and the ability to craft optimised content that’s engaging.
  • A passion for holidays and travel writing. 
  • Previous experience using a CMS.
  • Ideally hold a relevant degree in English or Creative writing.
