— Laravel, 2-3 month contract
- Work with a SaaS start-up that's already secured a list of impressive clients.
- Up to £350 p/day. Remote working (UK based).
- Likelihood of 2-3 months initially - potential for extension.
An innovative start-up in Bristol is looking for several contractors to come in and support the development team, having secured a major custom-build project for their platform. Their wider customer base is spread across both public and private sectors and there will be the potential to help guide the future development of the platform during your time there. Ideally you’ll be based in the office at least 1 or 2 days a week but they are open to fully remote options (UK based).
What skills you’ll need
- You’ll need experience with PHP, Laravel and MySQL as essentials.
- Any further knowledge of Elasticsearch and Redis would be useful.
- You’ll be capable of working independently, communicating with the team primarily using Slack when needed.
What you’ll be doing?
They have recently released V.3 of their MVP and have received a request for a custom build, which is the primary project you’ll be supporting the development team on. The project will go live on April 10th and you’ll most likely be working with the team for 2-4 months, with the potential for extension/further work after that. Your focus will be predominately BE development, working with PHP & Laravel. The project will involve upgrading from Laravel 5.2 to 5.5. However if you do have FE skills (particularly with AngularJS) then this will come in handy collaborating with the rest of the team. You will also be able to make a serious contribution to the product whilst you’re there as the CTO and wider team are always open to listening to new ideas and suggestions of changes to make things better.
What you’ll get in return for your talents
You’ll be working in an agile start-up that’s already secured a number of high profile clients. Unlike some contracts, you’ll be offered the chance to share your ideas and help guide the future development of the platform. Remote working is offered; ideally you’ll spend some time in-office with the team but they are also open to entirely remote options (UK based). There will be the opportunity for future work as the business and team grows.
