A leading UK business is looking for two driven Full Stack Developers (PHP/JS) to join them in North Bristol. They're one of the UKs largest insurance providers in the UK currently supporting over 50,000 customers and are continuing to grow. Their success has allowed them to put a real focus on growing out their digital offering, with the launch of the brand-new payments platform generating a turnover of £300 million. They're now in the process of bringing all their previously outsourced development work in-house, with an exciting pipeline of both Greenfield and existing projects for you to get stuck into. Joining a fairly 'green' development team, you'll be able to benefit from a start-up culture with the financial stability of a hugely successful & established company.
What skills you’ll need
- Previous web development experience, preferably with a strong front-end focus.
- Working knowledge of API development & integration would be desirable.
- An awareness of Agile methodologies.
- An understanding of test & debugging across various browsers would be advantageous.
What you’ll be doing
Joining a fairly green but fast expanding development team you’ll be contributing to an exciting range of new and existing development projects. Having recently brought all their development work in house there is an exciting pipeline of projects for you to get stuck in to from the get go. As well as ad-hoc development work maintaining & improving existing features, you will be responsible for building new customer facing websites & applications from the ground up such as a brand-new payment platform. Sat within a hugely collaborative team you’ll have the opportunity to suggest new ideas, influence decisions & implement new processes. This is a role which offers you to really take ownership of the direction of development, allowing you complete autonomy over your work.
