A fast-growing, ambitious and ethical tech company in Bristol are looking for someone who shares their passion for all things digital in WordPress and WooCommerce development, with a splash of PHP.  This friendly bunch work with a number of well-known names across varied industries delivering beautifully crafted Wordpress websites whilst learning new tech and having plenty of fun along the way. What experience you'll need

  • Proven commercial experience and in-depth knowledge of WordPress.
  • Experience with developing for WooCommerce.
  • Very good communication skills and ability to explain complicated processes in simple terms.
  • Inside out knowledge of GIT
  • You must be able to talk through a couple of projects you’re proud of, which go beyond the standard functionality that WordPress provide
  • An understanding of OOP
  • Understanding of LEMP administration
  • Understanding of web security
  • Ability to self-manage time and priorities.

What you'll be doing

You'll be developing high functioning and quality Wordpress websites for not-for-profit, charity and known creative brands. The role will encompass working closely with designers on key projects, testing, suggesting new ideas/tech to investigate and client management/support.  You'll work closely with clients to provide continuous delivery solutions for a number of enterprise standard WordPress platforms that have external services and complex integrations. They're big fans of code reviews, peer programming and will look for you to help to mentor and support new team members as the company continues to grow.  They're always on the hunt for great meetups and events to attend and are promising R&D time as part of the working week.
