Digital Marketing Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a truly impactful charity that punches above its weight, with a strong track record of digital growth. The Digital Marketing Manager position is highly valued by the Board and, as part of a small, friendly team, you will have lots of autonomy and scope for innovation. The role is home-based with the option to work from one of the UK offices. You must be flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends to respond to or post content on digital channels. 

What you’ll be doing  

The Digital Marketing Manager (known internally as a Digital Media Manager) assists the Director of Communications in ensuring the successful delivery of the charity’s Communications Strategy, managing their digital channels to help increase the charity’s profile and impact and supporting all departments to raise awareness of and marketing of the charity’s events, campaigns, products and services.  
 
You will be responsible for developing the charity’s digital engagement strategy and championing the integration of social media into the charity’s fundraising, awareness and professional education programmes.  
 
Your remit will include scheduling and responding to digital content, including messages from followers, and leading on the delivery and evaluation of campaigns. In addition, you will manage and optimise the charity’s website for SEO purposes, using Google Analytics to track performance and liaising with digital agencies. 

What experience you’ll need to apply 
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience within digital marketing.  
  • Proficiency in social media channel management, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Youtube. 
  • Experience of running paid for and organic digital campaigns. 
  • Experience of managing websites. 
  • Technical proficiency and skill in the creation of content for websites and social platforms.  
  • Ability to use Google Analytics to monitor campaign performance, gather insights and make necessary improvements.  
  • Commitment to the charity’s work and values, and ability to work sensitively with an emotive subject matter. 
  • A proactive approach to work, ability to work autonomously and use initiative to resolve problems 
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic. 
  • A high level of professionalism, pragmatism and flexibility/adaptability to changing priorities. 
  • The integrity to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
