We’re looking for a UX Designer to join the UX team of a successful, growing fintech business. They have offices in South Wales, but this role can be done fully remote.
What you’ll be doing
In this role you’ll be joining a product team, working with PO’s, Project Managers, Developers and fellow UX people. You’ll help refine the existing product experience across mobile and web, as well as working on new features for the app. They exist in hugely competitive marketplace so are looking for designers that will question often and share ideas big or small. A flat hierarchy means everyone has an input and you’ll feel listened to and valued from day one.
The business has had in-house UX for some years now, so you’ll be working alongside 3 other UXers and in great company. Each designer is more of a generalist than specialist when it comes to UX and equally this role would suit someone who has good research and UX design skills.
UX maturity is still young but growing. There are some exciting projects underway including a complete redesign and build of the web and mobile experience as well as a scalable design system that’s in development – you’ll be contributing to these as well as other short term and long-term goals.
There’s a brilliant culture on offer here too, the people are great and it’s a fast paced environment without sacrificing work / life balance. Flat hierarchy, flexibility and passionate people makes for an enjoyable and engaging environment.
What experience you’ll need
- Previous experience in a UX Design role that’s involved research and journey development.
- Good design skills for wireframing and prototyping, as well as contributing to a growing design system.
- Experience in native app beneficial but not required.
- Any experience in a start-up environment ideal.
- Passionate about user centred design and engaged in helping build UX understanding amongst your teams.
What you’ll get in return
You’ll receive 24 days holiday (+ bank holidays) with an extra day’s holiday accrued for each year of service (up to 28 days total), flexible working, an annual bonus of up to 20% of your salary, private medical, death in service cover, flexible working and much more.
Please apply with an up-to-date CV and any supporting work to be considered, though don’t worry if you don’t have any work to share just yet – we can discuss.
