An established creative design agency in Cardiff Bay are looking for a PHP Web Developer to join their rapidly expanding team. The company focuses on 3 core areas; identity branding, graphic design and web development, with developers and designers working in tandem. The aim is to double in size over the next 12 months, due to a rapid rise in client workload.
What skills you’ll need
- Extensive knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and PHP development.
- PHP frameworks, such as Laravel or Magento. But WordPress is a must.
- An understanding of Webpack, Sass, Git, ES6 or Grunt/Gulp would be ideal.
- Capability to analyse requirements and create effective solutions.
What you’ll be doing
Sitting within the development team, you will take responsibility for developing a breadth of solutions, primarily using PHP. The company’s client base is very diverse and spreads across multiple industry sectors, but for all projects you will focus on brand & identity. You will be involved in taking the clients through workshops to fully understand needs, before liaising with the designers. To ensure the best approach is collaboratively decided upon when developing the website/application. Depending on bandwidth, there may be a client-facing aspect to the role, so you’ll need to be personable & communicative, self-starting and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
