A brand new requirement has surfaced for a Front-End Developer in Poole to work for a charitable organisation that makes a real different across the UK. The successful candidate will play a big part in the Front-End space as the sole developer where you with work with internal and external teams within a Digital Studio to focus on exciting up and coming digital projects.
What skills you’ll be needing
  • Extensive experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • An interest in modern frameworks such as Angular.
  • Git, Gulp or Grunt is desirable.
  • It would be a bonus if you can code in TypeScript or have the desire to work with it.
  • Previous experience in a commercial development role.
  • Agile methodologies are desirable.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external teams.
  • A passion for coding.
What you’ll be doing
As the go-to front-end developer in the company you will actively be involved in all projects which require front-end development. Working with other teams you will undertake technical discovery activities in order to understand requirements and opportunities. You will be working with the external agency to build out client-side components and templates using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It is important that you can also support the maintenance of the company’s front-end style guides and pattern libraries. As you will be based in the digital team you will be working closely with the Digital Studio Manager where you will assist the with timing estimations and aid in prioritisation activities but also share your knowledge with the wider team, it is also expected that you keep your knowledge up to date on tools and technologies and implement them into the front-end space where required.
