Having been established for a number of years, this Multi-Channel organisation have a significant online turnover and are looking to invest in eCommerce to take growth to the next level. eCommerce has been hugely successful already, but being a core focus moving forward it’s a great time to be joining the team as a Digital / eCommerce Executive.
What you’ll be doing
Joining an eCommerce team of 4, you’ll work closely with the “Head of” to improve multiple elements of the customer journey. Given the broad elements of the role it would be perfect for a graduate keen to break into digital / eCommerce, or someone with experience looking to develop their CV in a thriving organisation.
The role can be tailored to a candidate’s strengths and preferences, but the main elements will be to help improve the look and feel of the site to help drive conversions. This will involve online merchandising, copywriting (product descriptions mainly) and content management on the main site and partner sites (correct imagery, relevant text etc.). While the Digital Marketing Executive will focus on key acquisition channels (PPC, SEO etc.), you will have responsibility for the Social Media presence across the business. This will include Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram and Pinterest, and can tie closely to blogging if this is an area of interest.
You’ll also work with the Digital Analyst you’ll ensure all product data is up to date, and use their insights to help the Team Lead understand where improvements can be made to the customer journey. For a site with this level of traffic, this is a hugely exciting task, as simple but original changes can lead to significant developments in online turnover.
What experience you’ll need
- Ideally a graduate or junior candidate looking to broaden their digital knowledge.
- Background in marketing from education or work experience.
- Knowledge of working with website content management systems, such as Magento, would be a real advantage.
- Understanding of SEO a big plus.
- Above all, a hunger, passion and drive to succeed in digital and eCommerce.
