We are looking for an integrated Senior Designer to join an award winning organisation in North Dorset. With a studio set in a breath-taking location that’s commutable from Bath and Bournemouth, this is a chance to come on board with one of the most exciting organisations in the area.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting in to the Creative Head, and working closely with Artwork and Project Managers, you’ll be delivering creative from concepts all the way through to production on solutions across all customer facing channels to an exceptional standard.
As the organisation looks to bridge the gap between their online and offline offering you’ll be working in a multidisciplinary design role across POS, packaging and digital assets such as web banners, landing pages and social media assets.
As an ideas-led creative, you’ll tell the brands story by translating their visual identity across integrated channels, and will help lead the design team to execute your concepts to the finest standard. That said, you’re a natural when it comes to leading on projects, scheduling workflow, and building relationships.
No two days will be the same, as you will collaborate with the Head of Creative when required, which will often involve the Art Direction and organisation of regular photoshoots to produce product imagery, so ideally you’re familiar with a similar environment!
What experience you’ll need to apply
- At least a few years’ integrated design experience in a commercial context.
- A portfolio full of examples of print and digital design work, including Packaging.
- Ideas led, and able to talk through your conceptual process.
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- A natural project manager, with prior experience leading on projects.
- Confident guiding junior members of a creative team.
- Experience using After Effects a bonus.

What you’ll be doing In this role you’ll join a small but growing team of technical experts designing B2B and B2B2C web and native applications. This is an exciting time to join, the product is already in use and some major new customers have been acquired leading to millions in new revenue. As it stands, you’ll be working with the product owner, a small team of senior developers and a QA lead. Up until now design and development has been outsourced to get the product in good shape, the next step is bringing everything in-house.As part of a small team the UX/UI Designer will have a multifaceted role and support the senior developers and product owner in creating the best user experience possible across all products. The product will be used by a wide variety of users and you’ll be working on features that handle payments, IoT integration, insight, analytics and logistics for their customers. Getting in at ground level you’ll be instrumental in shaping the visual design of the product and in defining the approach to research and testing. With a product in its infancy, the approach is likely to be lean and evolve over time and you won’t need to be an expert in research from day one. The founder is experienced in design too so you’ll have support and the space allowed to grow into a leadership role further down the line. What you’ll need to be considered Experience of working in a multidisciplinary design role encompasses user interface design and user experience practices A portfolio of digital products, native app is useful but responsive and mobile first as a minimum. Experience of wireframing, prototyping, storyboarding. Proven experience creating style guides, pattern libraries and ideally design systems. Any experience of working Agile beneficial. Some exposure to user testing and user research hugely beneficial. Confident with an array of modern design tools (e.g Sketch, Adobe CC, Figma etc).
