Join the team as the Principal Air Quality Consultant within a well-established and highly rated Environmental Consultancy within Brighton, East Sussex. Whilst working on projects across the UK, the Middle East, and Africa, you will be utilising your knowledge of Advanced Dispersion Models (ADMS) to meet client requirements and ensure compliance to air quality requirements. In addition to this, you will be supporting local authorities with their Local Air Quality Management (LAQM) commitments.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • There is the potential to work with a broad range of clients across the UK, the Middle East, and Africa. The client has a strong customer base ranging from long-term working relationships to an increasingly expanding network.
  • Focusing on the use of ADMS, you will be working alongside clients within industry, construction, planning, transport, and the energy sectors, to produce well-written and concise Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports.
  • Supporting Local Authorities with their LAQM commitments to ensure that Clean Air Zones (CAZs) are being delivered in-line with Air Quality Action Plans (AQAPs).
  • Speaking to clients in person and over the phone, to both manage existing work and relationships alongside the expansion of the client base.

What experience you’ll need to apply:

  • Proven experience of working within predictive modelling using ADMS, whether this is related to industry, infrastructure, residential, or commercial developments.
  • Experience with any of the following: ADMS, Aerrmod, Screen, ADMS Roads, Breeze Roads, DMRB/IANs/WebTAG, CALPUFF.
  • Experience with odour assessment and air quality monitoring services, whether within indoor environments or occupational exposure scenarios. There is also work related to wastewater treatment works and contaminated land remediation projects.
  • Excellent communication skills both in-person and over the phone.
  • The ability to write clear and concise technical reports.
  • Good proficiency when handling large amounts of numerical data.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and cultivating new relationships.
