Digital Marketing Manager
— High End eCommerce Brand
- Well-established eCommerce division.
- Management role.
- Broad digital role across main acquisition channels.
While the brand has been well established for over 20 years, eCommerce has been a significant part of the strategy to drive solid year on year growth in recent years. This is a new role in the team to take charge of the digital acquisition strategy, and coach / develop those you will be managing in-house.
What you’ll be doing
We’ll kick things off by covering the strategic side and planning for customer acquisition. Working closely with the Head of eCommerce, you’ll form a holistic strategy in line with eCommerce budgets and KPIs. You’ll monitor performance against these throughout the year and tweak shorter term planning to optimise growth potential online. Broader tasks which will feed into this strategy include keeping up to date with digital marketing technologies, determine the need and manage the relationship of third party agencies, analyse competitor activity and identify opportunities for additional growth through keyword research.
Given the significant online turnover there is a strong team in place. You’ll coach and mentor 3 direct reports, setting relevant goals and offering guidance in areas they can improve. Your team will work together across number of key channels including SEO, Email, Social Media and Affiliates, with your campaigns crossing into areas such as direct mail with the broader marketing team. Paid Search / PPC will also be a key part of your strategy, which will involve coordinating with the in-house paid executive.
Additional responsibilities will involve collaborating with the multiple brand partners and working closely with the bricks and mortar proposition.
What experience you’ll need
- Digital Marketing / Customer Acquisition experience within eCommerce or a Multi-Channel setting.
- Luxury or Fashion experience a real plus.
- Have ideally managed large annual budgets for digital, but not a must.
- Management experience in a digital role.
- Demonstrable experience of analytics packages and digital marketing across the key channels outlined above.
- Strong copywriting skills to deliver engaging content.
- A real enthusiasm and passion for eCommerce.
