Head of Research Clinic (MD)
— Amazing Medical Tech Startup
- Opportunity to Join a Medical Tech Startup.
- Plenty of Career Progression on offer.
- Excellent Salary and Benefits.
A really rare opportunity has arisen within one of the UK's most promising medical tech startups. This organisation are developing software that can be used to diagnose an array of non-communicable diseases using smartphones and tablets - all from a fingertip! This is designed to widen access where traditional methods are usually invasive and not as socially accepted in public. As this business carries out all of its research and clinical trials onsite, there is a very busy clinic which sees in excess of 250 patients each week. They need a competent generalist physician who is able to lead this clinic, and maintain the highest possible levels of patient safety.
What you'll be doing
You will oversee the clinical conduct across the clinic, where you will manage a number of healthcare professionals including phlebotomists, nurses, HCAs, and lab scientists. You will carry out basic observations and will be the go-to for medical emergencies. This is an amazing opportunity for physicians who are looking to contribute to the world of medicine at the very forefront of R&D. You may be frustrated working within the public sector and looking to make that jump into the field of research. Or, you may be working as a doctor within a pharmaceutical organisation but looking to work in more of a startup environment.
What experience you'll need to apply
We're not looking for any particular specialty doctors here; rather, you'll want to be more generalist.
- Fully recognised MBBS degree.
- Current GMC registration.
- At least working at ST3 level.
- A strong interest in working within an R&D setting.
- Outstanding standards of patient care and clinical due diligence.
What you'll get in return for your experience
You'll receive a hugely competitive salary, 20% bonus, plenty of autonomy to grow a research clinic around you, onsite chef, and generous pension and holiday entitlement
