An expanding eCommerce company which showcases an array of high-end brands is looking to develop their marketing function. The business has been in full swing for 18 months, and has already shown huge potential, which is why they’re looking to take on an ambitious digital marketer with a passion for SEO. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that improve the SEO and organic traffic, including SEO setup, link building, monitoring, analysis and reporting.
What you’ll be doing
This is a newly created role in the business which will report into the Operations Director. You will work closely with the wider marketing team to plan and develop SEO content, provide detailed keyword research, ensure best SEO practice, and interpret, and report on, website data. In addition, you will advise on, and implement, technical SEO requirements for wider web projects.
Your core remit will be to implement tactics which optimise site content and improve organic search rankings, ensuring that the team is delivering on targets against KPIs. You will also deliver strategies to grow organic traffic, including building a content plan, link building execution and content generation. Optimising content on the website with SEO keyword insertion and updating meta tags should also be filtered into your day to day, as well as integrating video and other media to boost SEO.
You will take responsibility for the accuracy of product information, including image standards, and utilising relevant industry tools such as Linkdex, Search Metrics, Moz, SEMRush and Majestic. Another key area of focus is making data informed recommendations for improvements and reporting on performance to senior stakeholders.
What experience you’ll need to apply
- Experience in a previous digital marketing role with a good level of technical and content SEO.
- Experience using a CMS – Shopify is preferable but not a must.
- Strong communicator with excellent writing skills.
- Ability to analyse and report on performance using Google Analytics.
- Ability to keep up to date with industry trends.
