Senior UX Designer

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to join one of our agency partners in Gloucestershire. This is an opportunity to deliver user centred web and native app builds for a variety of big-name brands.

What you’ll be doing

In this role you’ll be joining a global agency and play a pivotal role in their UX function, as part of their growing digital team.

The UX Designer will work closely with clients and other internal teams throughout the entire lifecycle of a project, to ensure that the user is kept in mind throughout and business goals are met for the client. You’ll work closely both with clients and the agency’s planning team to gather research and insight. Often this data will be supplied to you, but there may be times you gather your own and engage in broader research activities yourself.

From there you’ll be working up user personas, journeys, wireframes and prototypes in whatever tools you’re comfortable with, you’ll then test these with users through usability testing sessions (remote or in person whatever is appropriate). From there you’ll work closely with the design team who will add the polish to your work and the development team who will bring it to life.

This role will interact with stakeholders all over the agency including client services, planning and project management, development, design and creative so will need to be a fantastic communicator. Workshopping with clients will also be a key part of the role, so confidence when dealing with clients will be key.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • A deep understanding of design principles and user centred design.
  • Collaborative approach, confident working in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience running your own user testing, in-house or remote.
  • Data and insight driven in all you do.
  • A good understanding of interaction design fundamentals and modern design trends.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Skilled in modern design tools such as Sketch, Invision, XD or Marvel etc (whichever you’re comfortable with).
  • A portfolio of case studies showcasing your approach to UX, and responsive design.
  • Previous agency experience desirable.
