What skills you’ll be needing
- PHP 5.x and 7.x in MVC programming.
- Linux environment, preferably Ubuntu/Debian.
- Database knowledge: (MySQL, SQL/Oracle).
- NginX/Apache configuration, set up, use.
- Working with GIT repositories.
And ideally familiar with:
- Shell scripting (BASH).
- Networking basics: TCP/IP, ports, security.
- Servers: AWS/Google cloud.
- PHP frameworks (Laravel or Symfony).
- AJAX / Websockets.
- Continuous Integration (like Jenkins, Bamboo).
What you’ll be doing
Joining a team of 4 developers you’ll be working in a collaborative team delivering back-end API for web applications in partnership with front-end developers. They need someone who can design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code. The role will also cover implementing security and data protection measures for web applications, unit testing, code reviews and assessing/improving site and software performance. Your views on best practices and process improvements will be highly regarded and there’s a great chance to help evaluate and select technologies for each project and the business going forward. Within the role you will be able to pick up some incredible brands, you’ll end up with some really impressive projects under your belt.
