Senior Designer

We’re currently on the lookout for a Senior Designer to join one of the most design-led studios around. This Cheltenham based agency fuses brand and creative strategy and after some exciting new client wins, this is a brand new role for the business.

What you’ll be doing 

Joining this small but growing boutique agency, you’ll become part of a quality team of creatives including designers, dedicated illustrators, motion graphics designers and packaging specialists to work hand-in-hand with the senior members of the studio. You’ll oversee creative projects, build upon the existing client base and grow in to account ownership.

Reporting into the Creative Director, you’ll be working alongside a fellow senior designer and account manager to build visual identities, brand strategies and integrated campaigns for their portfolio of clients and beyond. The work will span a variety of print & digital platforms including brochures and complex literature, packaging, websites, digital banners and presentations – the list goes on!

You’ll play a pivotal part in the design studio being highly involved in conceptual work but also rolling up your sleeves to produce beautiful design craft and guide projects through to the polished result. 

Ideally, we’re looking for a designer with a strategic mindset but if you can deliver strong ideas, you have a quality design craft with a strong eye for brand, typography and layout, then we’d love to hear from you!

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • An experienced designer with some agency experience.
  • A portfolio showcasing your beautifully crafted brand design skills within a commercial context across print & digital).
  • Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • A great eye for the details and refining your designs.
  • Experience getting under the skin of client briefs, researching and innovating concepts.
  • Ability to guide on projects and a strong communicator.
  • Knowledge or experience in brand strategy a bonus but not essential.

What experience you’ll need to apply A deep understanding of design principles and user centred design. Collaborative approach, confident working in cross-functional teams. Experience running your own user testing, in-house or remote. Data and insight driven in all you do. A good understanding of interaction design fundamentals and modern design trends. Knowledge of HTML and CSS. Skilled in modern design tools such as Sketch, Invision, XD or Marvel etc (whichever you’re comfortable with). A portfolio of case studies showcasing your approach to UX, and responsive design. Previous agency experience desirable.     Learning Designer

    Be part of an exciting new L&D project. Join a team changing lives across the UK. Initial fixed term contract but with long term prospects. We’re looking for a Learning Designer to join one of our clients in Cheltenham. The role will be remote with great flexibility options long term but a driver’s license and the ability to travel on occasion will be required. What you’ll be doing This role is to join an organisation that is responsible for positively changing people’s lives up and down the country. The team’s purpose is to help those with special needs and disabilities secure the right education and care. As a Learning Designer you will join the L&D (learning and development) team and support on the implementation of a new digital learning platform as well as the creation of learning content for a wide variety of courses. Reporting into the head of L&D you will work alongside a Moodle administrator and focus on internal learning programmes for staff across the business. Moodle is the learning platform of choice, but previous experience isn’t required; more important is a passion for storytelling and a desire to make the complex, simple. The courses you’ll be creating will vary greatly. To create content you’ll be supported with access to articulate 360 but longer term they would love to find someone that has a desire to create their own assets and materials; this could include graphic design elements, video content, photography and scripts. What you’ll need to be considered A background in the creative industries or learning and development (be that learning design, instructional design, or other learning content creation). A confident writer, able to generate copy for learning programs, intro’s, descriptions, instructions and assessments. An eye for design and creativity, with the ability to storyboard and conceptualise learning materials. Experience with Moodle highly desirable but not essential. Good stakeholder management experience, comfortable taking feedback and engaging with staff to get the most from the platform. Organised and capable of managing large volumes of content. Able to work remotely but with access to a car and the ability to travel to client sites on occasion. Passionate about digital learning and making a difference to peoples lives.
