Front-End Developer (JavaScript, VueJS, React)

— Multiple projects with a diverse tech stack

£25K - £45K
  • Friendly and relaxed environment at a fast growing digital agency.
  • Progressive technologies (JavaScript, VueJS, React)
  • Very diverse client base, multiple blue chip clients
A rapidly growing digital agency based in central Cheltenham, with a great atmosphere and a strong blue chip client base are looking for a Front-End Developer to join their team.
What youll be doing
Working in an experienced design team of 6 (Front-End, Back-End, Designers, Junior Devs), youll be covering multiple projects which cover brochure type websites, web applications and 3rd party APIs. Youll take responsibility for creating both standard websites and data-driven sites using APIs from wireframed/designed visuals, using a variety of tech which includes HTML, CSS, Sass/BEM, JavaScript (jQuery/VueJS) and a content management system (CraftCMS). There has been a recent project using React but the main focus is on VueJS & jQuery moving forward. A lot of the projects the business focus on are built from the ground up so this role will suit somebody who has an excellent understanding of the full end-to-end design/development process. Most of the design aspect of these projects has been completed so you will be primarily focusing on the build phase.
What experience youll need to apply
  • Proven front-end development experience using HTML, CSS, Sass/BEM, Grunt/Gulp, Git and JavaScript.
  • Significant knowledge of one or more JavaScript library (jQuery, VueJS, React).
  • An understanding of CraftCMS or a similar content management system.
  • Knowledge of Twig for templating or an equivalent tool.
  • Ability to work with REST APIs.
  • An awareness of PHP would be beneficial.
  • Any of the following would be highly desirable: Netlify, Basin, Deploybot, Sketch or Bootstrap.
What youll get in return for your experience
Youll be based in the centre of Cheltenham, working in a hard-working and talented team whilst being in a relaxed and friendly environment. Youll be given pension, health cover, 22 days holiday (plus bank holidays & Christmas break) and little extras like parking and Friday drinks. Theres flexibility provided for those that need it; a later start to drop the kids off at school for example. The tech stack is reviewed on a project by project basis and if you make a case for bringing in something new then youll be provided with the R&D time to make that possible. Its a growing agency - so theres always the room to grow with it!
