Python Developer needed for a unique Energy company in Gloucester. They are developing first of its kind energy storage projects in the UK and are looking for a Python developer who can play a leading role in how their applications are developed. The company have already taken the equivalent of 200,000 cars off the road roughly through their innovative solutions. They have recently secured over £100 million in funding and are looking to invest heavily in new power stations over the next couple of years to be the clear market leaders in this exciting industry.

What skills you'll need

  • A passion for software development.
  • Excellent knowledge of Python, Django, SQL, JavaScript, HTML and Database design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong academic background with Solid IT, engineering or physical sciences grounding ideally with a degree in a STEM subject.

What you'll be doing 

Working in a small agile team your role will be broad and varied. You will be developing real time applications from inception through build to operation by gathering and analysing project and customer requirements to develop an increasingly sophisticated suite of software applications.
