An award-winning software house is looking for an Application Support Engineer to join their team in Southampton after recent expansion internally. The business has built a product which is based on employee engagement & analytics, focusing on tapping into employee experience and comparing how different teams collaborate and reward themselves. Having set up 15 years ago and now employing over 150 people, the business work with a varied client base of small and large businesses spread across the retail, telecoms and financial sectors, plus many more.
What skills you’ll need
- Proven background in Application Support with excellent problem-solving & analytical skills.
- Significant knowledge of SQL with the ability to support MS SQL Server 2012 or later.
- Excellent awareness of ITIL principles.
- Ability to manage & support multiple tickets from within a ticket management system at all times.
What you’ll be doing
Joining a collaborative Application Support team in Southampton, you will be supporting and resolving multiple tickets on the ticket management system, ensuring you are aware of ITIL principles at all times. You will help with the release processes across a variety of environments as well as creating technical knowledge documents to be used internally with new starters and ‘non-techie’ employees. You will be expected to maintain a high level of communication across the business and must also be flexible to work on a rota basis, with the potential of some nights and weekends a possibility.
