UX Product Designer
— Sustainability Products
- Create products for a more sustainable future.
- Help spearhead a new permanent UX team.
- Enjoy remote working, flexibility and a 4 day week if required.
We’re looking for several UX Designers to join a sustainability focussed SaaS product team. UX has been carried out by experienced contractors up until now, this is the opportunity to be the first hire in a permanent UX function with real growth potential.
What you’ll be doing
The software suite helps businesses create more sustainable supply chains and provides a unique, end to end solution to clients. Clients include some of the UK’s top retail chains as well as well-known independents.
UX is a fairly new skillset to the business, but you’ll be in safe company. You’ll work closely with a head of product, scrum master and head of production that know the importance of user centred design thinking and have been embedding agile working practices. The last year or so has seen several experienced contractors get the ball rolling; they’ve been conducting research, showcasing the value of UX to stakeholders through workshops, creating testable prototypes and moving forward the design language of the products.
As a senior UX you will join the team and carry the torch from the contractors. Due to the size of the team, you’ll be hands on and your skillset could sway towards research or interaction design. The goal will be to bring in two hires with complimentary skills and then scale the team from there.
What experience you’ll need
- Previous experience in a UX Design role including research, prototyping and testing.
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience of conducting workshops and ‘design thinking’ exercises with stakeholders.
- Experienced in Agile.
- Some experience of working on software, with SaaS of particular benefit.
What you’ll get in return
You’ll join a product team with purpose and build tools that create more sustainable industries. The team is dedicated to real flexibility and inclusive ways of working, whether it’s remote working or doing a 4 day week you can shape the way you work. Crucially you’ll be working with a lovely bunch too where your voice will genuinely be heard.
Please apply with an up to date CV Portfolio to be considered.
