We’re looking for a Head of Design to join one of the UK’s fastest growing eCommerce brands in London.

What you’ll be doing

Recognised as one of the UK’s fastest growing companies, this multi-national online retailer is looking for a Head of Design to lead the in-house creative studio.

As Head of Design you will be responsible for a number of brands across the company’s portfolio (including lifestyle, personal care, health and home appliance brands). From a design background yourself you will lead a small but growing creative team and have oversight of brand identity, packaging, digital creative, 3D and video content. Your hands-on creative skills will need to be in branding, packaging and digital but not necessarily in 3D / CAD or video. You’ll also brief and manage content creators of all kinds (photography, videography and social).

The business is fast moving and ambitious so we’re looking for a commercially astute creative that has experience of taking consumer products to market at pace. Sometimes you’ll be creating brands from the ground up whilst other ranges might come from acquisition and need careful consideration as to the depth of brand work needed.

What experience you’ll need

  • Experience in a design leadership role, with some managerial experience.
  • Conceptual but hands on with skills in packaging, brand and digital design.
  • Expert user of modern design tools including Adobe CC.
  • Previous experience in eCommerce or retail.
  • A commercial mindset comfortable setting design strategy.
  • A fantastic communicator, able to collaborate with business owners and people from non-creative backgrounds.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, at home in a fast paced environment.

What you’ll get in return

This represents a great opportunity for a design leader that’s looking for real progression. You’ll be joining a team with truly inspiring leadership and own the creative output for a variety of exciting brands. You’ll receive a good salary, a generous pension, a bonus and a very social culture full of likeminded people.

What's next

Please apply with an up to date CV and Portfolio of relevant work to be considered. Naturally we'll be looking for evidence of eCommerce and retail brands, packaging and digital.
